In collaboration with the Kappe Library at SCI-Arc, GYOPO presents an artist lecture and book launch for Kyong Park’s Imagining Eurasia: Visualizing a Continental History.

Imagining Eurasia is a research art project that visualizes the historical precedents and contemporary reconstructions of Europe and Asia as one continent. Through photographs, videos, graphics, animations, and texts, the project highlights the significance of cities, networks, and territories within urban, regional, and continental geopolitics, and the new relationship between East and West. It investigates the movement of commerce, migration, and cultural exchange that have morphologically shaped the points, lines, and areas  in the space and time of Eurasia. The project was commissioned by, and exhibited at, the Asian Culture Center in Gwangju, South Korea, in three sequential exhibitions (2015–18).
